The Director, Administrative Staff and some Research Staff Offices are located on Levels 3 & 4 of General Purpose South Building, Staff House Road.  [View the General Purposes South building on the St Lucia Campus Map, ref. J11; building78].

Getting to The University of Queensland, St Lucia Campus

By public transport

All buses to and from the University stop at the university bus stop on Chancellor's Place.  [View Chancellor's Place on the St Lucia Campus Map.]

The CityCat (ferry) from the city stops at the CityCat terminal

A cross-river ferry stops at the Dutton Park Ferry terminal

By car (& parking)

The main entrance to the University is along Sir Fred Schonell Drive, located on Map 179 F2 of the UBD Brisbane "Refidex" Street Directory. From Brisbane's Central Business District, Sir Fred Schonell Drive is most easily accessed via Coronation Drive.

For a short visit (up to 1½ hours), we suggest the short term street parking in Staff House Road [see parking (shaded red) on the St. Lucia Campus map, ref. J8; near building 4].

For longer visits we suggest the nearest multi-story carpark to our building which is Conifer Knoll [see Conifer Knoll on the St. Lucia Campus map, ref. M10; adjacent to location 53].

By taxi

Refer taxi drivers to the General Purposes South building, on the corner of Staff House Rd & College Rd.

Alternatively, taxi ranks are situated at University Drive and Chancellor's Place, St Lucia. [View the University Drive taxi ranks, or Chancellor's Place on the St Lucia Campus Map]

Airport Transfers

The Airtrain operates between Brisbane airport and the Transit Centre in the city centre. It costs about $11 per person and takes 20 minutes. See www.airtrain.com.au

Coachtrans provides coach transfers from Brisbane international and domestic terminals to the Transit Centre in the city centre every 30 minutes at about $11 per person. See www.coachtrans.com.au

From the city, you can either catch a taxi (about $20) or public transport. Directions on how to get to the campus from the city are available at www.uq.edu.au/maps/directions.html?menu=1

Taxis from the airport to the university cost approximately $40. The trip can take more than an hour during peak traffic times (7am - 9am and 4pm - 6pm).
